![]() ![]() So, I'm a bit biased to the mold, faults and all. Clean, crisp, not too big, not some midget, with a deadly alt mode and with some great nods to previous incarnations including Super Megatron. Got mine today from HTS (Oddly fast for them!), and with the online coupon I used at the time, for less then I'd pay in the store without any price matching/coupons at the default MSRP, so deal to get it so fast.įirst of all, let me say, Animated Leader Megatron is one of my favorite Megatron molds, in fact, of all the "Megatron"s we've gotten, he just may be my favorite. If you don’t, though, and see his guy somewhere, there’s no reason not to get him. He’s very nice, but not so nice that you need to get him when you already got the original Animated Leader Megs. A very nice repaint, but the only reason I got him was because he was on sale at our local Intertoys. Megatron he was and Megatron he remains, just mostly black. To me, though, the most interesting thing is that this was the first Megatron repaint in a good long while that wasn’t renamed Galvatron. Megatron now appears mostly in black, with a grey cannon on his arm and various purple highlights on his body. There have been no changes to the actual mold, the electronics and sound effects are the same as well, so it’s purely a repaint. So we’ll just be looking at the differences here. Remarks: Shadow Blade Megatron is, of course, a repaint of the previous Animated Megatron, which I’ve already reviewed. For more pictures, click on the image above ![]()
